Aluminum cans are the second leading beverage container type due to their widespread use in the massive soft drink and beer markets. Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to keep a 100-watt bulb burning for nearly four hours. The recycling rate for aluminum helps reduce the energy used to produce it by nearly 50 percent.
